About Iaeli
Iaeli Ielu, 19 years old, was born on Kiritimati Island and raised on Tarawa Island, both part of Kiribati. Growing up with five siblings as the second child in the family, Iaeli experienced firsthand the impacts of climate change in Kiribati. The vulnerability and endangerment of life due to climate change fostered a strong interest in Iaeli to participate and become an advocate to combat this challenging global issue.
