About Dylan
Dylan Siliusi Kava (he/him) is an environmental advocate and political activist with a passion for advancing social and climate justice. Born and raised in Fiji to a Tongan father and Fijian/European mother, educated with full scholarships in the United Kingdom and in the United Arab Emirates,and now studying at the University of the South Pacific, Dylan has strong Pacific roots alongside an international outlook.
He has led large-scale political campaigns advocating for social and political justice in Fiji, coordinated Pacific youth activists working on a wide range of social and climate justice issues, and he has a vast network in Fiji and across the Pacific that he leverages to advance just causes. Dylan is a strong writer, a confident public speaker, competent in the use of conventional and newer forms of media and is capable of navigating both traditional Pacific and Western policy spaces. He is a passionate advocate and committed to elevating the voices of unheard and underrepresented Pasifika peoples.
